Bread Butter & Beans
Bread Butter and Beans is the brain baby of a busy day I had. I had to pick up a coffee from…A famously green mermaid coffee shop, and an equally famous bread bowl-selling shop. I stood in line with my takeout in hand and thought….what if I had a shop that sold food, bread, and great quality coffee. Then it hit me…I can have one.
Inspiration: Bread Butter and Beans…as in coffee beans. But I came to love the confusion on people's faces when they realized I didn’t mean baked beans. So that helped me develop the voice of the brand. Which is a satirical, casual, cozy place for everyone.

Website:
The Bread Butter & Beans website was created using Wix as well as using photos from Unsplash. The copy is original content as well as the overall brand. I designed the website to be easy to comprehend and navigate.




Business Card:
The brand is all about appearing mellow and cozy but packing a bunch of personality behind its facade. Same with its body text which has speckles of jokes throughout, and its ethical choices and bold stances. ​
Color Palate:
Primary: Bread Butter and Beans
Secondary: Bread Butter and Beans
I chose these colors because they are warm tones. I want the brand to feel comfortable and mellow. They are also ADA compliant.

Menu:
The menu is a list of classic bread and drinks you'd find at a coffee shop. I wanted to focus more on the layout and hierarchy of the menu as a whole than the content. As you can see from the prices, I'm no mathematician. Regardless, I created the layout to be spaced out yet interesting enough for the eye to float around the entire page instead of its traditional left to right.

Logo:
Trebuchet MS and DIN Alternate makes up the word based logo. On a more visual note, the ampersand stands in place with coffee beans within its closed counters.
